Supplies included:
Pre-reduced indigo dye
Soda ash
Reduction agent (hydrosulfite)
Pair of gloves
Rubber bands
(4) Wood blocks
(2) Cotton napkins
Flour sack tea towel
Instructions
 
Supplies you must provide:
(2) Buckets (2 or 5 gallon)
(1) Bucket lid
Warm water
Stir stick (a large dowel, paint stick or yardstick work well)
Plastic bags or tablecloth
 
Optional: Extra items to dye (natural fibers only – cotton, wool, rayon, bamboo, linen, silk, etc); extra gloves; extra rubber bands
 
Please note: Children will require adult assistance and supervision.
 
Time to complete project: Approx. 60-90 minutes
